At Big Rush Golden Retriever Puppies, we are deeply committed to the health, safety, and overall well-being of every Golden Retriever puppy that joins a new family through our program. All puppies purchased from our website come with a minimum one-month health guarantee directly from the breeder.
If you ever have concerns about your puppy’s welfare, please take time to review the pet ownership laws and consumer protection regulations that apply in your state to better understand your rights and responsibilities as a pet owner.
Veterinary Health Examination & Buyer Options
Every Golden Retriever puppy is required to undergo a comprehensive veterinary examination within ten (10) days of purchase. If a licensed veterinarian detects a serious health condition or chronic illness during that time, buyers may choose one of the following options within five to ten days of purchase:
Return the puppy for a full refund.
Return the puppy and exchange it for another of equal value.
Return the puppy and receive reimbursement for veterinary fees, not exceeding the puppy’s purchase price.
However, if the breeder has already provided a signed and certified veterinary health certificate, these options may not apply.
If a veterinarian confirms that your puppy has a hereditary or congenital condition that negatively impacts its health—or if the puppy passes away due to such a condition—you may still exercise one of the above options. Within 24 to 72 hours after purchase, you’ll receive complete information about the veterinarian who examined your puppy, including the clinic’s name, address, and phone number.
If no health concern is reported to the breeder within 72 business hours, this guarantee becomes void, and all future responsibility transfers to the buyer.
Compliance with State Pet Laws
Every breeder associated with Big Rush Golden Retriever Puppies follows state-specific pet sale and welfare regulations, offering no less than a one-month health protection period. If your state requires a longer guarantee period, we will comply with that requirement.
It is illegal for any breeder to misrepresent a puppy’s health or falsify veterinary documentation. We take these standards seriously and maintain full transparency regarding our puppies’ medical records.
Extended Genetic Health Guarantee
Some breeders may provide an extended hereditary health warranty, covering genetic disorders verified by a licensed veterinarian or certified laboratory. Please note that this guarantee does not include routine veterinary care, vaccinations, deworming, minor health concerns, or conditions resulting from injury, neglect, or malnutrition.
To qualify for reimbursement or replacement under this extended guarantee, buyers must present official veterinary documentation to the breeder. All puppies receive age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming treatments prior to leaving our care. Buyers must schedule a veterinary visit within two (2) days of receiving their puppy for an additional health evaluation.
Replacement Policy for Serious Health Issues
If a life-threatening genetic defect or major illness is discovered during the initial exam, and the breeder is notified within 24 hours, a replacement puppy will be provided (subject to availability). The affected puppy must be returned with its registration papers and a veterinary report verifying the condition.
All veterinary examination fees are the buyer’s responsibility. Conditions considered common and non-life-threatening—such as mild heart murmurs, uneven bites, undescended testicles, fleas, mites, ringworm, kennel cough, coccidia, giardia, or small hernias—are not covered under this health guarantee.
Infectious Disease Disclaimer
Big Rush Golden Retriever Puppies cannot be held responsible for Parvo, Distemper, or Coronavirus infections diagnosed more than two (2) days after purchase, as these diseases can develop rapidly once the puppy leaves the breeder’s care.
One-Year Genetic Health Guarantee
We also provide a 12-month health guarantee from your puppy’s date of birth, covering life-threatening congenital or hereditary defects. This coverage does not include illnesses related to Parvo, Distemper, heartworms, poor nutrition, or viral infections.
If a qualifying condition is confirmed, a replacement puppy of equal value will be offered, based on availability. Refunds are not issued. A written veterinary report must be provided before any action is taken.
In the unfortunate event of a puppy’s death, a veterinary necropsy or written report is required to determine the cause before replacement consideration. The breeder is not responsible for veterinary bills, cremation, or related medical expenses.
Registration & Breeding Rights
All companion Golden Retriever puppies are sold with Limited Registration, requiring the puppy to be spayed or neutered after reaching 27 weeks of age. Puppies sold for show or breeding purposes are eligible for Full Registration; however, no guarantees are made regarding future show titles or breeding success.
At the time of sale, every puppy’s pedigree, temperament, and conformation are carefully evaluated and deemed suitable for their intended purpose.
Vaccination & Ongoing Health Care
Each puppy from Big Rush Golden Retriever Puppies is up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming while in our care. Complete health records are provided at pickup or delivery. New owners must continue the recommended vaccination schedule and ensure annual veterinary checkups to maintain the puppy’s long-term health and well-being.
Legal Disclaimer
In the event of any legal dispute between the breeder and the original buyer, the buyer agrees to cover all legal and court expenses incurred by both parties. All proceedings will take place within the state and jurisdiction of the breeder.
